Welcome to the Change Fitness Triathlon Squad. Whether you are new to tri or have been doing tri for a while now, our squad is for you! We are based in Lower Hutt and have members that train with us from all over the wider Wellington region. We support a range of fitness levels from first-timers right through to ITU age group reps and Ironman World Championships Qualifiers amongst our squad. Most of our sessions are based in Lower Hutt.

We are a triathlon squad who look after each other, keep each other motivated and we love seeing everyone succeed. We are led by an amazing team of passionate coaches where a positive team culture is what we pride ourselves on.

Whether your goal is Sprint, Olympic, Quarter, 70.3, Half or Ironman distance we will look after you, keep you motivated and give you plenty of opportunities to challenge yourself while making some good mates along the way.

 

Change Fitness Triathlon squad is an Annual Membership which gives you so many opportunities to train, learn, develop and connect with other like minded people who will inspire you to be your best!

Training as a tri squad member

Walk & Run Group training sessions for the whole of 2020. Our motivating and inspiring group to help you develop your pace and fitness.

Monday + Wednesday 6-7am or 630-730pm

Riders Indoor Cycle Group training sessions for the whole of 2020 (you will need your bike + an indoor trainer) Our high intensity interval based training group to develop your bike power, strength and fitness.

Tuesday + Thursday 545-630am or 715-8pm

10 x supported Open Water Swim Sessions at Point Howard or Petone (Friday 6-7pm)

Supported training sessions

12 x Supported Weekend Group Training Sessions where you will have mapped ride options based on your goals and ability and a support vehicle out looking after you. These will be swim, bike, run sessions in summer and bike sessions during winter (weather permitting)

As a Change Fitness tri squad member we encourage you to choose one of these events for 2020 to target as we will be at these to support you.

Ironman NZ & 70.3 – 7th March

IronMaori Quarter – 7th November

IronMaori Half – 5th December

Of course you may want to do other events and that is cool, we will certainly support you on your journey.

For 2020 we have capacity for 8 x first-time triathletes + 32 x current triathletes (40 spaces total)

Your investment as a triathlon squad members for 2020 is 52 x weekly payments of $69.00 starting on the 1st January 2020. When signing up you are committing to the whole year membership for 2020. If you wish to make a one-off payment before 1st January 2020 we can offer a discounted rate (please indicate when you sign up)

Get your own specific programme (Highly Recommended)

We highly recommend getting your own personal and specific programme based around you, your lifestyle and your goals. This will keep you on track, hold you accountable personally and help you to move forward towards your goals and ensure you are doing the right amount of training specifically for you. For this we have an option to work with our head coach Nathan Martin and have his 1 on 1 support throughout your journey. It’s all about training smart.

Add this to your tri squad membership for the ultimate training and support package!

Nathan delivers three options for 1 on 1 coaching at an additional cost. Nathan uses Training peaks to connect with you and will incorporate the group sessions into your plan so you are guided to the highest level on which combination of training sessions each week will suit you best as well as specific additional sessions you will need to do to reach your goals. You will have access to contact Nathan anytime for support if you are working together in this capacity.

Options are:

Online coaching (email) $57.50/wk

Fortnightly catch ups (phone or in person) $75/wk

Weekly catch ups (phone or in person) $100/wk

All the above 1 on 1 options allow you to email or text Nathan anytime to help advise and guide you on your training. Nathan will get back asap.
