Whether your a First-timer aiming to complete your first triathlon or you might be looking for a personal bestmaybe it’s the big one… to qualify for Kona or represent NZ as an age group athlete, the Change Fitness Tri Squad is for you!

The Change Fitness Tri Squad is designed to be an inspiring and motivating place for you to be the best triathlete you can be, led by Tri NZ Accredited Coach and Kona qualifier Nathan Martin.

We believe connecting with others is a big part of helping you bring out your best and we aim to deliver a top class experience for each and every member of the Change Fitness Tri Squad.

As a Tri Squad member you will be surrounded by others just like you, trying to make the best use of their time, keeping a good life balance and taking on the challenge to improve their health & fitness as well as having fun doing triathlon. 

We will support you with all aspects of triathlon and get you ready for your next big event!

You are in good hands as we have over a decade of experience helping many first-timers become triathletes and many experienced triathletes lift their performance and represent NZ on the world stage as age group athletes.

Tri Squad Membership 2021

1st January – 31st December 

We offer 20 x in person supported sessions over the year based in Lower Hutt (occasionally we may venture out between Wellington or Upper Hutt)

We aim to deliver these sessions on the below dates, things that may effect these going ahead are unsafe weather conditions or schedule changes, but we will always aim to provide a back up option.

We aim to deliver 12 x seminars over the year covering topics that will help you learn and enhance your tri journey.

Sessions will either be delivered in person or virtually and are planned for the below dates.

All members will be added to our private Tri Squad Facebook group to keep up to date with everything tri and connect with other squad members. We will also aim to have monthly social catch ups.



Tri Squad members have full access to all of our Walk & Run Group sessions throughout the year. The group trains Mon + Wed 630-730pm in various locations in Lower Hutt. 



Tri Squad members have full membership to our Virtual Indoor Cycling sessions which are streamed LIVE Tue + Thu 600-645am 



Tri Squad members have access to train with our Friday night swim squad based at Huia Pool. Sessions are 60mins in duration and combine fitness and technique work.

There will be a few Fridays when the pool is closed for events or maintenance which we won’t be able to run swim squad.



In the daylight months we will run a number of supported ocean swims teaching open water technique and a chance practice for your next event Sessions are mostly held at Point Howard beach.

We will be running Tri training camps on the below dates and Tri Squad members will have first priority to secure a spot on camp as numbers are limited.


  • Taupo camp (Feb 6, 7, 8)
  • Wairarapa Camp (Oct 23, 24, 25)


Training camps have an additional cost.



In 2021 we are planning on launching the annual Change Fitness Tri Squad prize giving celebration



All Tri Squad memberships require a full year commitment and the below rates apply.

Tier 1 “Early Bird” (Sign up and commit before 15 Nov 2020)

  • $59.00 per week from 1 Jan 2021
  • One-off payment @ 5% discount $2,914.60  (paid before 1 Jan 2021)


Tier 2 (Sign up and commit before 6 Dec 2020)

  • $69.00 per week from 1 Jan 2021
  • One-off payment @ 5% discount $3,408.60  (paid before 1 Jan 2021)


Tier 3 (Sign up and commit after 7 Dec 2020)

  • $79.00 per week from Jan 2021
